Hello Parents :) Hope you all had a nice weekend!!
At this mornings assembly, we began to put the students in their separate 'houses.' What does this mean? All of the grades and teachers are divided into colored houses for various activities and events throughout the school year. It is a good time for the students to meet their peers in the higher grades and have a kind of buddy system established. This morning was the first time they learned which color house they are in, and we have little bracelets they will wear during the school day and leave at school. If they take them home by chance, please return them the next day. Thank you.
Friday afternoon playing with PlayDoh. Making letters and cookies of all shapes and sizes :) Hands-on activities are so much fun for these little ones.
One last note today, there are two confirmed cases of Hand, Foot and Mouth disease (Enterovirus) in the K2 class. Please keep an eye on your children and be sure to check their hands, feet, and insides of their mouth for any red sores that may appear. Other symptoms to look for in young children:
- fever, muscle aches, or other flu-like symptoms
- become irritable or sleep more than usual
- begin drooling (due to painful swallowing)
- only want to drink cold fluids

We are doing our best to stay clean and wash hands frequently at school. Please do the same at home to keep everyone happy and healthy for school!
Waiting patiently to go home on Friday.
