Happy Graduation Day!

This morning we will go to the gym for about half the graduation ceremony, until we get antsy. We will enjoy snack and time in the classroom together before 11:45 am pickup! We will be distributing yearbooks today, too!

Happy happy happy summer! Missing all the kiddies already!

Happy Friday!

Last week was a very busy week! We had a great half day on Thursday playing and enjoying and snacking and learning! In fact we were so busy we forgot to take any pictures on Thursday!

I brought out the box of props on Friday afternoon during our class party. You can see the fun they had below. (Excuse the not so beautiful classroom in the background, we've been cleaning! :))

We also went outside and drew with sidewalk chalk on Friday! We stayed in the shade because it was hot hot hot!

Thursday, May 26th HALF DAY

Happy 1/2 Day Everyone!

We have begun to send some materials home. Since these little ones have small book bags I tried to space it out this week, but alas we are finishing some books and most of it will come home on Friday, including the beds.

I will also be sending a packet of materials for summer review. Please review it over the weekend and let me know if you need any help, or suggestions for how to encourage your children to learn. Sticker charts are a great way. Each time an activity is complete, you can give them a sticker, after 10/20 stickers they can receive a small reward (bigger stickers, small toy, extra play/tv time, etc). I know some of you will be away travelling this summer so this is a good way to keep on task and continue practicing on long car rides/airplanes/etc.

Speaking of studying, I will be going home to America for July to take these BIG tests! I have been studying my teaching certification online since August. I am also a student! It's crazy that I have nearly completed this course and have learned SO much! It has been an honor to teach and learn soooo much from these students. So send me good luck and good vibes as I have been studying like crazy to ace these tests. I am excited to get the K-1 blog up and running so we can update each other over the summer. Please send me e-mails/pictures/line messages of your adorable children this summer! And I will do the same!

Lots of Love,
Ms. Kelly

Wednesday, May 25th

Good Morning Everyone!

Wednesday is a half day for Grades 1-8. Tomorrow, Thursday May 26th, is a half day for the whole school. Please pick up your children no later than 11:45am! Thank you!

Friday we will celebrate the end of the our pre-k days with a little class party. This party will take place in the classroom, please feel free to send any healthy snacks as you wish. We would greatly appreciate any donations you made :) We already have parents signed up to bring a cheesecake, yogurt, and apple juice. Thank you thank you thank you!

Monday, is graduation for K2 and Grade 5. We will watch the graduation for about half of the time and have a break. Pre-K's will not be able to sit from 8:30-11:45am so we will have a break and enjoy the time together. Again, this is a half day, please plan to pick your children up no later than 11:45am. This is very important as the teachers and staff all have to prepare for the summer and clean the classrooms. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this busy time of year!

Making our own Pre-K yearbooks. They are so funny! I was about to take a picture of 2 students when the rest jumped in and wanted their photo taken. They love seeing pictures of themselves, sometimes I show them the blog on the big screen and they laugh and laugh and laugh.

Finishing our numbers! Number 10 today! Great Job!
