Good Afternoon! I hope you all had a wonderful lonnnggggg weekend! I know I did!
Today we had a very fun and exciting day! We began a new theme for the month, Ecology! We will be learning all about plants, flowers and nature!
Today we had science class and germinated our own bean seeds! We will be making kidney beans!
After 2 days we will move our seeds to little pots and measure their growth in math class. We learned all about what plants need to grow and get big and strong!
We read a story about growing up, animals, plants and people, and what we need to get big and strong for our healthy bodies. The children are so smart! They all remember that plants need water and sun and people need vegetables, fruit, water, sleep and exercise. You can reinforce this at home, too!
This Friday we will send home the winter gear. We have extra clothes for winter, and it should be replaced for summer clothes since it is getting hot hot hot for the last few weeks of school! The countdown is on! I am cherishing each and every single moment I have with them! I can see they are getting big and mature each and everyday, I am so proud of their growth in every way!

Putting water on a tissue, putting the seeds in the tissue like a blanket, and closing the bag tight. We will wait 3 days until we have roots, and move it to a small pot! I LOVE this theme! I hope they do, too!
